Boing!

Last Saturday Doris and I spent the morning in the garment district bargaining for the bridesmaids dresses. There is a delicious smell of street hot dogs that wafts through the entire neighborhood, so naturally, I was craving some Mexicna food afterwards.

I met up with Bill and we walked to a new spot we had heard about. The salsa was tasty but the food was no bueno. Too bad. On the way back to the house we walked on the other side of the street to check out the stores. It seemed like one of the boutiques had had a make-over - complete with a fresh coat of paint and new mannequins.


It took us a second, but these mannequins were not the standard runway fit. They were bustin' out! We, along with some Belgian tourists, stopped to admire and giggle at the window display.

Like butts, boobs, and abs are to some people, I get really excited about stationary stores. My mom and I went to South Coast last night. A new store had opened near Crate and Barrel called the Paper Source. The whole store is SO cute! I love paper and they had a great selection. Sometimes I can hear something in my head go boing!

Four Years and Years

Bill and I just celebrated our 4-year anniversary last night. I completely forgot it was our anniversary. Thank goodness Bill remembered! I'm just not that good with dates anymore. The only reason I even remember is a parking ticket I received 4 years ago, May 1st.


We went to dinner at Locanda Veneta near the Beverly Center. Everything was delicious and you know how hard it is to find good Italian food. I especially liked their bread dip. It was a puree of spinach, basil, garlic with a little bit of lemon juice. Eww don't be gross. No really it was quite good.

Bill also found Bust a Move for me and we played it and it was so much fun. I love that game except that I'm not that good at it. Bill helped me pass all the hard levels. I'm sad to report that, unfortunately, we broke the game when trying to pull it out of its case, the disc snapped and broke! Oh snap! That sucks. What a bummer. We only got to play once. Oh well... maybe we can buy it again later.
